Ruhunu Hospital Diagnostics, in its relentless pursuit of customer satisfaction and convenience, has opened its latest state-of-the-art laboratory in Galle. Located at No. 69 Wakwella Road, Galle, the laboratory adds to RHD’s already considerable footprint in the Southern Province, where it serves as the primary medical hub for the region.
The new medical laboratory is also the first of its kind in the Southern Province to have gained the globally recognised ISO accreditation, placing it at the forefront of modern practices and cutting edge problem solving.
Indeed, ISO is not a tool merely to meet accreditation requirements, rather, by pursuing and im-plementing ISO benchmarks, RHD has showcased its desire to create systems that are as failure resistant as possible, while simultaneously identifying opportunities for improvement at all times.
Speaking about this landmark achievement, Ruhunu Hospital Ltd. Co-CEOs Raveen Wick-ramasinghe and Janith Liyanage said in a joint statement: “We are absolutely delighted to an-nounce the opening of our new, state-of-the-art medical laboratory in Galle, which is our third la-boratory as we continue to expand our RHD network to all parts of the Southern Province. Ruhunu Hospital Diagnostics has for many years been a medical hub for the Southern Province, and it has always our utmost priority to provide the region with the best possible service. In gaining the globally recognised ISO certification, we feel our patients can rest at ease knowing that they’re now in the safest of hands.”
“In our goal towards continuous improvement we also encourage the full involvement of all em-ployees at every level; as such this accreditation only serves to validate the problem solving ability of our staff and their constant implementation of the most effective solutions,” they further stat-ed.
Over recent times, Ruhunu Hospital Diagnostics has significantly expanded its medical/clinical services in the Southern province, moving into Udugama, Neluwa, Baddegama, Tangalle and Aluthgama through the hospital’s own centres, as well as a further 300+ third party collection cen-tres through authorised dealers of RHD.
Further highlighting their commitment to customer convenience, the gradual roll out of the Ruhunu Hospital mobile app has also allowed patients to quickly and easily make channelling ap-pointments and view test results, all in the palm of their hands, while patients can also notified of report collection times via SMS.
All this would be for nought however if it wasn’t accessible, which is why Ruhunu Hospital ensures that these world-class services still remain affordable, with their unrivalled value a hallmark of their overarching vision since the hospital’s inception in 1995. With many plans in line to serve the people of the Southern Province, Ruhunu Hospital will be opening its newest nine-storied 50 bed state-of-the-art hospital complex in year 2020 which will comprise of aesthetic beauty, environ-mentally friendliness, technology innovation and much more.
