The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society, in partnership with the Health and Indigenous Medical Services Ministry, will be donating Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits to the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH), the organisation said in a statement yesterday.
While the hospital is said to utilise approximately 1,000 kits a day, the ministry has informed of an urgent requirement for 100,000 PPE kits.
The Red Cross Society of Sri Lanka is thus leading a national-level campaign with the participation of local and international corporates, chambers, and social welfare organisations.
