Lanka Hospitals, the internationally accredited multiple award-winning healthcare provider recently became the first hospital in Sri Lanka to be certified as a great workplace by the independent analysts at Great Place to Work in Sri Lanka.

Lanka Hospitals earned the credential based on extensive ratings provided by its employees in anonymous surveys conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute. Through proprietary assessment tools, advisory services, and certification programs, including Best Workplaces lists and workplace reviews, Great Place to Work provides the benchmarks, framework, and expertise needed to create, sustain, and recognise outstanding workplace cultures.

“As one of the most prestigious hospitals in Sri Lanka we take employee satisfaction very seriously. The standards we maintain in delivering quality healthcare would not be possible without the trust, loyalty and support of both our medical and administrative staff. The Great Place to Work certification is also a testament to the high standards maintained by Lanka Hospitals HR team in building employee-friendly procedures that have immensely helped boost employee engagement and satisfaction at the work place,” said Lanka Hospitals Group Chief Executive Officer Dr. Prasad Medawatte.

“We applaud Lanka Hospitals for seeking employees’ feedback and the opportunity to certify itself. These ratings measure the organisation’s capacity to earn its own employees’ trust and create a great workplace. These are critical metrics that anyone considering working for or visiting Lanka Hospitals should take into account as an indicator of high performance,” said Great Place to Work Chief Executive Officer in Sri Lanka Kshanika Ratnayake.

Lanka Hospitals is the first hospital in Sri Lanka to be awarded some of the most prestigious accreditations in the world for its healthcare service standards including the Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation since 2014, and currently holds the world-respected Medical Tourism Certification from the Medical Travel Quality Alliance (MTQUA).
