Grafo launches world’s 1st handheld cordless electrostatic sprayer for disinfecting and sanitising

Grafo Laboratories Ltd. has launched in Sri Lanka the world’s first handheld cordless electrostatic sprayer manufactured by Victory Innovations Co USA, for disinfecting and sanitising. 

Victory Innovations Co, USA, is the world’s first manufacturer of the mobile cordless electrostatic sprayer, specifically made and designed for versatility, for infection prevention and control applications.

Victory electrostatic sprayer is cordless and it operates on a chargeable lithium-ion battery. This allows total flexibility in movement during the disinfecting and sanitising process. The disinfectant is positively charged into fine mist particles as it leaves the sprayer and will 360deg wrap around any surfaces it comes in contact with, making it possible to disinfect and sanitise more surfaces faster and more thoroughly and without having to wipe off. It makes daily disinfecting and sanitising an easy, fast and efficient process and, also cuts down on the amount of chemical use. Conventional units spray chemicals that linger in the air and drip off the surface as there is no adhesion.

One of the daily challenges faced by cleaning contractors is the amount of time and labour required to ensure the facilities under their care are thoroughly disinfected and sanitised for the safety of the users. This is especially true given the current 2019-nCoV situation. Victory easy-to-use electrostatic sprayer helps to disinfect and sanitise more surfaces in public spaces in less time and requires less labour compared to the methods using spray bottles and wiping down.

One unit of the sprayer will: (1) Do the work of 5 cleaners; (2) In 1/3 the time vs. the spray bottle/wipe method and (3) Uses 60% less chemicals.

Victory offers two sprayer models. A 1 litre hand held unit and 2.25 gallon capacity back-pack unit. The sprayer has a 3-in-1 nozzle that can be adjusted to 40, 80 and 110 micron settings for chemical dwell time. At 40 microns, the hand held unit can cover approx. 2,500 sq. ft. and back pack approx. 20,000 sq. ft. It takes 15-20 minutes to disinfect 2,500 sq. ft. of surface. This lowers cleaner head count, increase overall productivity and result in a better outcome for your clients. The unit is designed for mobility and can be used at airports, aircrafts, hospitals, ambulances, gyms, bathrooms, day care centres, health clubs, hotels, bars, conference halls, kitchens, restaurants, laundry rooms, offices, schools, etc.

“We offer fully integrated, touch-less sanitising and disinfection solution that combines the power and efficiency of the Victory cordless electrostatic spraying technology. The sprayer can be used with any water based neutral liquid disinfectant and sanitiser but don’t recommend use with any corrosive chemicals like liquid bleach,” a statement said. 

In conjunction with the sprayer, we also offer its compatible approved Medentech Klorsept 17 (disinfectant + sanitiser) and Klorkleen (disinfectant + cleaner), a high level Effervescent disinfectant tablet that dissolves in water to form a solution powerfully active against bacteria, viruses, mycobacterium-TB, fungi and spores (including MRSA, HIV, HVB, SARS, CORONA, Bird Flu, C.Difficile).

With the COVID-19 pandemic, presently in the region, Singapore, Changi Airport, Singapore General Hospital, NUS Hospital and Ministry of Environment are the early adopters of the sprayer technology.
