Workshop on strategic ethics for managers and executives

The world believes that ethical management is a key for a thriving organisation. It is also known that core competencies and ethical management are two interwoven concepts that cannot take in isolation which develops the organisation and expands the profit margins of the business.
One has to identify and implement the individual ethics, organisational ethics and the social ethics to fulfil the needs and the vision of the respective organisation. In turn, ethics have to be interlinked with the core competencies of the organisation to get the real benefits of its operations. Academics have named this concept ‘strategic ethics’.
Lt. Col. Chandana Weerakoon will conduct a workshop on ethical management at the Galadari in order to persuade participants to follow ethical behaviour in multiplying the profits and good image of the organisation.
During the one-day workshop on 1 August 2013, he will cover the following contents extensively, individual ethics, organisational ethics, social ethics, combination of ethics with core competencies, formulating and implementing company ethics and persuasive exercises
Lt. Col. Chandana Weerakoon has tremendous experience in conducting, leadership and management workshops to different segments in the country and abroad. He also has much exposure in the field and had written books and many articles pertaining to the area in the local and overseas journals and newspapers. He is actively involved in facilitating both public and in-house training programs on the subject.
The particular syllabus is specially designed for the culture and behaviour of the Asian region and contents are been altered and organised especially to suit the Sri Lankan context. This area is becoming very important because the Western investors are very keen on the staff and as well as the organisations which follow the accepted international ethical rules when they select individual staff or corporation with a business interest.
