Unilever Sri Lanka has joined hands with AIESEC Sri Lanka as a platinum partner.

Unilever said it looks at fresh graduate pools, and over the years developed outstanding leaders who have succeeded in Unilever as well as in other corporates.

The partnership with AIESEC is another initiative by the company to increase its reach across Universities students at different stages of their study. AIESEC is a youth organisation aimed at creating ‘Globally Minded Young Leaders’. It is present in over 110 countries and territories, with over 60,000 members worldwide.

Unilever Sri Lanka Human Resources Director Udayan Dutt said: “Unilever has always been and continues to be committed to developing leaders for itself, for the industry and for society. Through this partnership, we want to groom our potential talent by helping them enhance the skills required for students in the corporate world. AIESEC as an organisation shares our passion for developing leaders, so this is a promising partnership for us.”

Unilever is always looking to build stronger bonds with potential first career recruits through numerous networking and social initiatives like the Unilever Student network and by fully utilising social media platforms like Facebook. These initiatives led to Unilever being selected as the employer of choice amongst undergraduates in both local and foreign Universities in 2011 independent study published by TNS.
