The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) recently awarded training partner status to the Urban Development Authority (UDA) and Tangerine Tours (Pvt) Ltd.
Accordingly, UDA and Tangerine Tours will provide training for students following the chartered accounting course at the strategic level stage.
At a ceremony held at the Institute’s Colombo 7 premises, CA Sri Lanka President Mr. Sujeewa Rajapakse handed over the certificate awarding the training partner status to UDA’s Chief Internal Auditor, Ms. M. V. S. K. Manodara and Group Financial Controller of Tangerine Tours, Mr. M. I. Shahabdeen.
CA Sri Lanka Vice President Mr. Arjuna Herath, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Aruna Alwis and Council aMember and Alternate Chairman of the Training & Deve-lopment Committee Mr. Sanjaya Bandara were also present at the event.
As a training partner, the organisation provides practical training which in result assists the long term development of the accountancy profession in the country.
The three-year long practical training is an integral part of the institute’s study programme and the Institute believes that these partnerships with training organisations will benefit its trainees and the accounting profession as a whole.
