The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka will conduct a one day training program on ‘Telephone techniques, courtesies and effective receptionist duties’ on 11 October from 9a.m. to 4p.m. at the Chamber Auditorium, No. 450, D.R. Wijewardena Mawatha, Colombo 10. Beneficiaries of the training will be receptionists, front liners, telephone operators and telemarketers who are the first contacts of any organisation. Attracting new customers and retaining them will mainly depend on how the customer is received and treated.
As the saying goes “you never get a second chance for the first impression” the first impression can either leave customer calling elsewhere or have them excited about learning more about the company’s products and services.
Great telephone and reception skills do many good things to maintain an excellent relationship with customers which in turn will benefit every person involved from the owner of the company to the call centre employee, to the customer.
Trainer, Nedra Wickremesinghe the Executive Director of Nedisa Corporate Social Interaction and Founder Principal of Nedisa Finishing School will train the participants through an interactive session with demonstrations.
Training includes: first impression of the telephone, telephone voice, tone and pitch, telephone personality, answering the telephone, making a proper telephone call, how to ask a caller to wait, how to end a call, message taking to return calls, screening calls, effective communication skills on the telephone, telephone etiquettes, listening skills, handling problems, customer queries and complaints, handling difficult callers, tactful words and phrases that keep caller cool, more frequent caller complaints and office grooming.
As the number of participants is limited to have an effective session, registration will be on first come first served basis and close on 9 October. Those interested may call Indrani/Dilruskhi on 4 741788 or email [email protected], [email protected].
