When Rehan Fernandopulle – first-ever student to be placed at Tusculum College Tennessee (www.tusculum.edu) by Scholarships for USA (Pvt) Ltd (www.scholarshipsforusa.com) – was introduced to Tharshini Perera, Head of Client Services & Support and F&A of Strategic Group IT of a leading conglomerate in Sri Lanka and a holder of a double Masters, Tharshini had some words of advice for Rehan.

She said: “Never be afraid to dream and when you do dream big. Plan well ahead – not just for your college years but at least for the next 10 years.”

When Rehan told Tharshini that he plans to start his own business upon returning, Tharshini was visibly impressed. “Life would probably be harder but very much rewarding. Start small and grow big,” she said. Her departing words were: “Wherever you are, don’t forget your values. This country needs you more than any other in the world.”

Rehan, an alumnus of Maris Stella Negombo, had completed two years at Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) when he decided to transfer to a US University with maximum financial aid and credit transfers.

Among many amazing offers Scholarships for USA was able to attract for him within a few days Rehan selected Tusculum College – the oldest higher education institute in Tennessee – because it offered him virtually 100% credit transfers and nearly 50% scholarship.

Scholarships for USA is committed to make US higher education increasingly affordable to Lankan youth and the university admissions procedure simple, fast and smooth. It is also committed to introducing top professionals to departing students for sense of direction.
