SLITAD’s ‘Members’ Day’ and launch of Evening Free Lecture series for trainers

SLITAD’s ‘Members Day’ will be held on Friday 21 March 2014 at the Police Families Welfare Association Auditorium, No. 7, Joseph Fraser Road, Colombo 5 under the Chairmanship of SLITAD President Eastman Narangoda (former Chairman Seylan Bank).
This is the function where all the members of the institute get together to interact with each other. This is an annual event and every member of the SLITAD eagerly waits for this day. In addition to the competitions among the members, there will be fun games and entrance ticket draw also in the line of activities.
Awarding of the certificates to the members and a members’ drive will add colours this year’s function. Senior Members of SLITAD Dr. Nalin Jayasuriya, Major General (Dr.) H. Lakshman David, Dr. M. Nishantha Jayawardena and Professor T. Thanaraj will be felicitated for their outstanding achievements on this day.
SLITAD will also launch its Evening Free Lectures series for trainers at this year’s Members’ Day and the first lecture will be delivered by Sponge Global Learning Ltd. CEO Sampath Thrimavithana, a well known presenter in the human resource management arena of the country.
HR professionals and HR minded officers can join the lecture along with SLITAD members if they wish to grace this occasion.
The Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development (SLITAD) was founded in 1998 by a group of HRD professionals led by late Achilles Joseph, former DIG and Director Higher Training Institute of the Sri Lanka Police. Since 1998, SLITAD has been actively involved in carrying out its mission and now is evolved to a well established organisation dedicated to uplift the professional standards of human resources development with more than 200 members in fellow, member, associate, affiliate, student and institutional categories. SLITAD has made significant contribution towards the HRD profession of the country by producing more than 200 fully fledged trainers through its diploma course in training and development.
