SLF to take batch to AIT, Thailand for international program on strategic supply chain management

Sri Lanka Foundation (SLF) in collaboration with Yunus Center, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok will conduct an intensive peer-learning program highlighting best-practices in one of Asia’s fastest-growing consumer economies from 28 to 31 May. This advanced workshop assumes a practical knowledge and experience of supply chains. It is an applied course in Supply Chain Management (SCM) that focuses on enabling participants to apply proven SCM strategy and concepts in their workplaces. The workshop is designed as a peer-learning course that takes a performance-driven approach, helping reinforce existing SCM knowledge and experience by identifying it with core competencies that brings about effective SCM application for business performance. Added to the discussion on supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness, are observation visits and on-site seminar sessions arranged at leading international business institutions in Thailand, a world-leader in maintaining and optimising export supply chains in the food, construction, engineering and automotive sectors. This will be moderated by a course faculty drawn from the AIT’s Yunus Center for social business.
