Rusara wins entry to Hawaii Pacific Uni’s Scholars Programme

Rusara Seneviratne – teacher trainee at Nirodha Trust (www.nirodhatrust.org) – has been accepted into Hawaii Pacific University’s (www.hpu.edu) Scholars Programme for the fall semester 2011.

As a member of this elite and exclusive club Rusara will have access to individualised academic advising in the honours curriculum throughout her undergrad experience.

She will be able to attend University Scholars social events as well as exclusive academic seminars such as resume writing workshops, graduate school preparation and many more such events.

Rusara was recently placed at HPU by Scholarships for USA (Pvt) Ltd., (www.scholarshipsforusa.com) with its maximum international scholarship based on her excellent London O-Ls, outstanding SAT scores and predicted AS-Level results to major in Biology/pre-medicine. She is an alumna of Gateway International and Asian International School. She is also assured of considerable credit transfers based on her AS-Levels.

HPU is the largest private university in Hawaii and is ranked high among colleges and universities in the Western region of US.

Vipassana Hawaii – an association of many practicing yogis and affiliated to Nirodha Trust too made a very generous sponsorship towards Rusara’s educational expenses.
