Professional Edge Consulting will host a two-day corporate etiquette workshop, ‘Manners in Management’ end March at Cinnamon Grand, Colombo.
The event will comprise of two workshops per day and will cover a broad area of subjects regarding corporate etiquettes – the do’s and don’ts of business.
Day one (23 March) will cover the areas of ‘how to be a polite professional’ which would cover the general business etiquette matters and a communication etiquette workshop covering both verbal and social media communication, business proposals and business letters, etc.
On the second day (24 March) areas of dining etiquette and image consulting will be covered where advice and guidance will be given on appropriate dining behaviour, top 10 do’s and don’ts in dining, appropriate conversation topics for business dinner, food and wine and how to dress for success. A certificate of participation will be presented at the completion of the course.
The workshops will be hosted by the Executives of the Canada-based company, Professional Edge Consulting – Praveeni Perera, Priyangani Pannila Perera and Louise Jackson. Expecting a participation of 60 to give individual attention to the participants, CEO of the Company Praveeni Perera stated that this was the first ‘out of Canada’ event for the company.
“With mine and Priyangani’s roots in Sri Lanka we thought this was the best place for us to start our operations outside Canada,” she said. “The response we have received is great and we are very excited about the upcoming event.”
She asserted that the plan is to expand their services to South East Asian region in the future. “We are well known in Otawa and we now feel it is time for us to take our expertise to the rest of the world.”
