PIM gets new Director

Professor Mangala Fonseka, Professor in Accounting, Department of Accounting, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, was recently appointed Director, Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM). He received his primary education at St. Anthony’s College, Panadura and secondary education at Sri Sumangala College, Panadura, from where he entered the University of Colombo and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc) and a Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration (MBA) He earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Business Administration) Degree from PIM for his work on Management Accounting System Sophistication in PLCs in Sri Lanka. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK). Professor Fonseka is a senior academic whose association with the PIM and the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in various capacities spans over 25 years. He is the author of a number of well received publications used in postgraduate level study programs. Currently he serves as a Council Member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka. He succeeds Professor Uditha Liyanage, who is currently on sabbatical leave.
