The Postgraduate Institute of Management recently conducted its first ever doctoral colloquium featuring more than 30 aspiring candidates with their ongoing research work. University of Colombo Faculty of Arts Senior Professor Demography Prof. Indralal De Silva, appearing as chief guest at the proceedings, expressed his views on a particular research area relating to computer literacy and aesthetic values among Sri Lankan youth.
PIM Director Prof. Ajantha S. Dharmasiri in his welcome address stressed the importance of the event, especially at a time when PIM is celebrating three decades of excellence.
PIM Research Centre Head Prof. J.A. S. K. Jayakody thanked all paper presenters for their assiduous work, as well as Dr. A. K. L. Jayawardana, Dr. Nilakshi Galahitiyava, Dr. Gayan Jayakody and the faculty and staff who contributed immensely towards the success of the doctoral colloquium. Dr. Nilakshi Galahitiyawa, who was instrumental in organising the event proposed the vote of thanks.
