People’s Bank publishes memoirs of late Chairman, W. Karunajeewa

People’s Bank recently released the memoirs of the late W. Karunajeewa, former Chairman of People’s Bank and People Leasing and Finance PLC titled ‘Janajeewa Karunajeewa’, which was written by Bandara Eheliyagoda.

The book outlined his various achievements in both his professional life and his impactful work as a humanitarian. Janajeewa Karunajeewa was published by People’s Bank and launched at a ceremony presided over by President Maithripala at the BMICH.

The occasion was graced by the Chief Incumbent of the Ruwanveli Maha Seya, Ven. Pallegama Hemarathana Thero, Ven Dr. Kirinde Assaji Thero, Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Rajitha Senarathna, Minister of Justice Wijeyadasa Rajapakse, Deputy Minister of Megapolis and Western Development Lasantha Alagiyawanna, People’s Bank and People’s Leasing and Finance PLC Chairman Hemasiri Fernando, People’s Bank Chief Executive Officer/General Manager N. Vasantha Kumar, People’s Leasing and Finance PLC Chief Executive Officer/General Manager D.P. Kumarage and the Corporate and Executive management of People’s Bank along with the family of the late W. Karunajeewa. A poignant commemorative address was given by Prof. Sumanasiri Liyanage at the event.
