Students can begin their international education at home following a new, exclusive partnership between Monash College and Eduko Lanka through Universal College Lanka.
From January 2016, Eduko Lanka will deliver the Monash University Foundation Year program and a number of undergraduate diplomas to local students in the heart of Colombo. On completion students will gain entry into one of the world’s top 100 universities, Monash University, in Malaysia or Australia.
This partnership has the full support of Monash University, and promises to extend students’ options to pursue their international education ambitions.
Being a Monash University graduate herself, Monash College Chief Executive Officer Jo Mithen knows how a quality tertiary education can transform lives.
“Thanks to this alliance, we can make a difference in the lives of many more Sri Lankan students and we’re excited about the vision Eduko Lanka has for the region,” said Mithen.
Eduko Lanka is a private education services company serving high performing students and professionals. It aspires to help shape the local education ecosystems by developing educators, innovating teaching practice, and driving strong industry collaborations. The company sets high standards in quality assurance and delivering practical programs from excellent institutions.
Eduko Lanka was formed by three principals; Gateway Group of Organisations Chairman Dr. Harsha Alles, South Asian businessman Bob Kundanmal, who heads the Sino Lanka Group of Companies, comprising of hotels, hospitals and international schools and The Boston Consulting Group partner and Managing Director Zarif Munir.
Monash College, a wholly owned Monash University company, is the largest single provider of students to the University. A leader in pre-university education, the college has been guiding the next generation of global professionals to success for more than 20 years.
The college has prepared hundreds of Sri Lankan students for Monash University and future careers over the last eight years through a former partnership with ANC Education.
The announcement of this exclusive Eduko Lanka partnership expands on the successful Monash College pathway model that assists more than 7,000 students annually in Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, China, Malaysia and Sri Lanka.
