National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka in partnership with the National Human Resources Development Council of Sri Lanka, vocational training institutions and national youth corps are conducting two job/career fairs on Thursday 5 May in Matara and Thursday 12 May in Walawa Embilipitiya. Several job fairs have been conducted in the outstations so far, as at date.
The event would be an opportunity for employers to find employees to fill their job vacancies and for school leavers/job seekers to find suitable employment. Skilled labour is available in the following areas – automobile, painting, plumbing, air-conditioning, agriculture, information technology, welding, electrical, tailoring carpenters and computer hardware. Before the commencement of interviews by prospective employers, an awareness seminar will be conducted at the venue for the job seekers. School leavers and graduates are eligible to participate.
Employers will interview the job seekers and confirm their applications on the spot. School leavers/job seekers interested to participate at the job fair may kindly contact National Human Resources Development Council, Co, TP 2595680/79.
