Completing an MBA is one way of fast tracking towards the world acclaimed professional qualification in business management CIMA.

CIMA, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK has introduced an innovative fast-track route for MBA holders to become CIMA qualified – the CIMA Masters Gateway assessment. This fast track route is a unique offering from the world’s largest professional body of management accountants which trains the business leaders of the future.

MBA holders are eligible to take up the Masters Gateway Assessment. Candidates will be required to pass the gateway exam to be granted 11 exemptions from CIMA’s Professional Qualification and be awarded the CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting.

They can then progress to the strategic level of CIMA professional exams and once they have passed all exams and met the practical experience requirements they become full members of the professional institute.

A fee of £500 includes registration, the exam fee and online study packages – see www.cimaglobal.com/cmga for more information.  To be eligible to enter and sit for the November 2012 exam those interested must have registered as a CIMA student by 31 July 2012.

CIMA has entered into a joint venture with AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) the world’s largest association representing the accounting profession, with nearly 377,000 members in 128 countries and a 125 year heritage.

This paves the way for CIMA members to use the prestigious designation of Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) which is rapidly being recognised and sought after by employers globally. The outcome of this joint venture is that when you complete CIMA, you get two designatory letters – ACMA and CGMA.

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, founded in 1919, is the world’s leading and largest professional body of Management Accountants, with 195,000 members and students operating in 176 countries, working at the heart of business. CIMA members and students work in industry, commerce, the public sector and not-for-profit organisations.  CIMA works closely with employers and sponsors leading-edge research, constantly updating its qualification, professional experience requirements and continuing professional development to ensure it remains the employers’ choice when recruiting financially-trained business leaders.

Professionalism and ethics are at the core of CIMA’s activities with every member and student bound by rigorous standards so that integrity, expertise and vision are brought together.

CIMA has formed a joint venture with the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) to establish the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation.

CGMA is the global quality standard that further elevates the profession of management accounting.

CIMA is also proud to be the first professional accounting body to offer a truly global product in the fast-moving area of Islamic Finance.
