Lanka Market Research Bureau Ltd. (LMRB) was awarded the prestigious Asia’s Best Employer Brand 2015 at the sixth Asia’s Best Employer Brand Awards at a gala ceremony held at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Singapore on 12 August.
These awards, endorsed by the Asian Confederation of Businesses, are hosted by the Employer Branding Institute, an organisation managed by professionals from various countries and geographies who share the same passion in human resources.
The selection of the award winners was based on recommendations made by a research cell constituting of professionals and a jury comprising senior leaders, researchers and academicians from across the globe, who evaluated organisations on creating a culture of contribution and innovation at work, being a social employer, making consistent improvements in HR Policy (by inculcating values that help achieve the vision) and developing future leaders.
The 2015 Asia’s Best Employer Brand award acknowledged 57 winning organisations from 16 Asian countries that demonstrated excellence in building their brands and identities as employers of choice visible through their human resource practices, polices and strategies.
In a special reference to Sri Lanka, Dr. Bhatia, Founder World CSR Day and World CSR Congress said, “With so much of progressive growth taking place in Sri Lanka it was really difficult to identify the best amongst the best. But yet, the criteria the Jury had used were very rigid. They realised that to pick the best amongst the best, more than the size of the company, what really matters is whether that organisation has made a difference in the lives of many.”
LMRB Chief Executive Himalee Madurasinghe commenting on this achievement said, “To LMRB, employees are its biggest asset. Our uniqueness is the employee nurturing culture that brings out teamwork and togetherness.
