Michel Nugawela, in association with CIMA Sri Lanka and the Association of Human Resource Professionals (HRP), will conduct the first Leadership Archetyping program designed for C-Suite executives on Monday, 2 November.
The Leadership Archetyping program introduces participants to the 12 archetypal dimensions of leadership that are able to significantly enhance and transform their executive roles based on a paradigm-shifting Jungian psychological approach to individuation and transformation.
The 12 archetypes – Innocent, Orphan, Warrior, Caregiver, Explorer, Lover, Destroyer, Creator, Ruler, Magician, Sage and Jester – reflect the various roles that leaders can play in organisations and put a human face to the attitudes, interactions, and recurring patterns of behaviour that influence their effectiveness. Similarly, a lack of fit between a leader’s archetype and the context in which he or she operates is a main cause of team and organisational dysfunctionality and executive failure.
The Leadership Archetyping program uses internationally-validated psychological self-assessment tools, imagery, visualisations, exercises and other thought-provoking perspectives, models, and practical actions for participants to ‘try on’ and enhance their relationship with each archetype. At the end of the program, participants would be able to intentionally use the resources, skills and tools from each archetype to show up more fully in their workplace, as well as recognise which archetypes are active or inactive in themselves and their colleagues by observing language, emotions, and behaviours.
By learning to access and balance the multiple perspectives and skills of the twelve archetypes, they gain the ability to transform and empower their professional and personal lives.
