The Executive Committee of the Ladies College OGA has decided to expand and diversify its activities by hosting a Quiz Night – the first of its kind, on Tuesday 6 March 2012 at the School Old Hall commencing at 6 p.m.

This is an effort to reach out to a broad base of past pupils, irrespective of age, profession or area of interest.

Old girls and even old boys are invited to participate at this event and contribute to the success of our very first Quiz Night.

The Quiz will be conducted by two experienced Quiz Masters. Participation is open to old girls in teams of five to seven members.  The competition will comprise several rounds of questions on diverse topics ranging from current events, history, literature, science, and very importantly, questions on Ladies’ College.  The subject of the question may at times be introduced through video and sound clips.

It is essentially a team game and a team effort where the team will be required to write the answer on the team’s response sheet. Participants of a team will be free to have a discussion amongst themselves before writing an answer, within a given time limit of course.

Teams can register (minimum of five and a maximum of seven members) by calling or emailing the OGA Secretariat, giving their ticket numbers and obtaining a table number.

Those who are unable to form a team may email a request to participate, and the Committee will make every effort to include such a member in a new team provided there are adequate requests from single members to form a team/s.

This night is not all about a quiz alone. It’s about a dinner outing too. Members who are not interested in participating in the quiz may enjoy the evening by being there to watch the fun of the competition, the joys of getting answers right, the disappointments of giving wrong answers and of course the excitement of the whole evening.

It’s not a night for intellectuals. It’s a night for all fun lovers! There will be hoppers and music. The dress code will be casual or office attire for those who come in direct after work.

As the next day is a holiday, late night celebrations and bonhomie in true L.C spirit are the order of the day.

Tickets priced at Rs. 1,200 (inclusive of dinner) are available at the OGA Secretariat (tel 2575469) and the School office only until 2 March.
