Surviving and thriving two decades in the IT sphere is no mean feat and that is exactly what the Just In Time Group (JIT) can boast of. This year, JIT celebrates 20 years of unparalleled achievement as a wholly Sri Lankan company harnessing its success and expertise towards the ICT imprint in the country and contributing further towards making Sri Lanka’s mark, as an ICT hub.
It is in this background that JIT was recently conferred with the prestigious Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award which has given us ample reason to celebrate. “We were surprised and humbled as this award validates our efforts in making JIT a great work place,” as JIT Head of Legal and Human Resources Sherene Goonetileke remarked.
The event was organised by the Employer Branding Institute together with the World HRD Congress, Stars of the Industry Group and endorsed by the Asian Confederation of Businesses – the award for JIT came about by being identified through and for our human resource practices of creating innovation at work. JIT is also a company who believes in consistent improvement in HR policy and inculcating values of a social employer with a complete holistic approach.
“We have reignited the company spirit to emphasise and empower a high performance drive as part of our culture. Why? “To enable our teams to work with more of an optimistic attitude, initiative, purpose and most importantly trust. People are the core of any business and creating a nurturing environment to enable them to harness their talents and grow personally and professionally is to create a great work place. This is our success. We have dedicated the next three years to introducing and anchoring HR best practices, with an emphasis on aligning corporate strategies with the interests of employees whom we see as fundamental to company growth,” was further shared by Sherene Goonetileke, on this recognition. “As a leading ICT solutions company in Sri Lanka JIT continuously strives to create a culture of innovation in the work place and this award validates the efforts and gives us motivation to reach further as a preferred employee,” she added.
Creating a continuous dynamic place of work that adapts to change to keep the approach current and progressive can be a daunting task in this current fast track world, which puts JIT above the rest. The ‘no holds barred’ all or nothing attitude is their motto at JIT. An encouraging work-life balance is on par with their KPI’s with the JIT family with monthly social activities to yoga sessions to corporate quizzes that are all part of the reignite campaign – nurturing both mind and body. “We have a variety of recognition schemes in place as we strongly believe appreciation is at the heart of a happy and content employee. A key underlying factor is the family bond amongst the JIT team, having a majority of employees who have dedicated over 10+ years to the company, illustrating commitment and resilience. At an age where staff jumps from one employer to another in a short span of time, we are beyond happy about our ability to retain staff and retain them without compromise. The long standing employees of JIT have proved that dedication and working together as a family trumps all in the journey towards achieving success.”
As a group, JIT’s key strengths are focused on; Software Solutions, Network and Infrastructure, Hardware, Mobility, Outsourcing IT Professionals, Professional Services, Training and Skills Development, Local Technology Partner, Maintenance and Support Services. JIT’s subsidiary companies further specialisations are in; Software development and Business process outsourcing and resource augmentation, a Microsoft partner company providing licensing and implementation services, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) carrying the brand ArcGIS by Esri – which is the leader in GIS, for whom we are the sole authorised partner in Sri Lanka.
As a leading ICT Systems and Solutions integrator, JIT has been a strategic front runner of the concept of ‘integrated solutions’ in Sri Lanka’s ICT sector. The Group, with many leading specialised industry related principal relationships in place, is focused in the areas of strategic ICT solutions, core ERP & CRM solutions, systems integration services, infrastructure solutions, and strategic ICT investments, targeting the banking and financial services industry, telecommunications, government, defence and commercial vertical sectors.
