ISMM elects new president

The Institute of Supply and Materials Management conducted its technical sessions and AGM on 30 March at the OPA auditorium. The technical sessions consisted of two lectures.

Project Management Institute Colombo Chapter President Aruna Jayalal Kooragamage delivered a lecture titled ‘A project managers role in project procurement management’ and 4S International Academy Managing Director Sampath Aluthpatabandige delivered a lecture on ‘The myths about team work and its reality’.

The Chief Guest at the event was Fentons Limited Chairman Chandresa Abhayaratne. The technical sessions were followed by the Annual General Meeting where Anil Ponweera was elected president for 2013/2014 unanimously by the outgoing council of management and was officially sworn in as the new president by outgoing president Danesha Perera.
