The Lions Multiple District 306 (Sri Lanka) comprising six Districts and around 14,000 Lions established the ‘Mahendra Amarasuriya’ Leo Leadership Institute (MALLI) and appointed PCC and Past District Governor Anver Dole as the Chairperson of the Institute.
MALLI was formally inaugurated recently at the Mahanama College Auditorium with Lions Clubs Past International President Mahendra Amarasuriya as Chief Guest, and the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army Major General Channa Goonetilleke as the Keynote Speaker.
Presentations on different aspects of leadership were made by experienced trainers, past Governors Kingsley Bernard, S. Raghavan and Dharma Dheerasinghe. Major General Channa delivered a stirring address on ‘Leadership – The Future’ and PIP Mahendra spoke on ‘Leos and their Important Role in Fashioning the Future of our Country’.
The leadership training program organised by MALLI in collaboration with the Leo Multiple District commenced with a welcome address by the Chairperson of the Institute Anver Dole followed by an address by the Leo MD/President Rajitha Abeygunasekera. Multiple Council Chairperson Duminda Munasinghe also spoke and PCC Sunil Dharmaratne delivered the closing remarks.
