Living upto its reputation for its commitment to continual investment in capability development, Hatton National Bank PLC (HNB), Sri Lanka’s premier private sector commercial bank, recently launched ‘Aspire’ a specialised leadership program to develop high potential talent in the bank. A strong advocator for providing opportunities for employee growth and job satisfaction, the bank’s business philosophy has always been to look beyond the conventional to innovation and inspired action.
The bank actively strives towards the creation of a culture of learning, one that is built on a firm foundation of knowledge, skills and attitude. In nurturing people to know ‘how it works’, HNB believes in effectively utilising training and development as a tool towards creation of high levels of functional and emotional aptitude. Having identified the critical importance of developing the high fliers to face future leadership challenges, HNB has continuously invested in management development programs to enable young officers to sharpen their leadership, managerial personality development. A group of young leaders of the bank’s island-wide branch network participated in the first phase of the ‘Aspire’ program at MIMT, Thulhiriya.
The program was conducted by BRC Lanka BRC Partnership Ian McMaster, a renowned learning and development consultant with over 25 years experience of leadership and management coaching. RC Partnership is a Northern Ireland company specialising in professional services with expertise on world class management and leadership training.
Well known in Europe, the company signed a joint venture to provide management training and coaching in Sri Lanka last year. HNB was recognised at the Asia’s Best Employer Awards for ‘Excellence in Training’ in 2012 and continues its investment in its employees.
