Fast Track candidates with Heads of CTC, John Keells and HSBC
Fast Track 15, a dedicated internship program in collaboration with Ceylon Tobacco Company, HSBC and John Keells Group will get underway for the fifth year running in July this year.
Founded in 2011, the Fast Track 15 Internship program envisages motivating talented young undergraduates to take advantage of the professional benefits of a well-recognised internship right here in Sri Lanka. The program also provides a framework by which these candidates from diverse academic backgrounds are stimulated through real life experiences.
Three corporate giants, namely Ceylon Tobacco Company, HSBC and John Keells Group collaborated in 2011 to introduce this concept. Since then, the program has attracted and mentored many talented young undergraduates who have become valuable contributors to many companies, in Sri Lanka and elsewhere in the world.
The Fast Track 15 internship program through its six week course will facilitate one to one engagement opportunities with eminent personalities in the corporate sector and expose these participants to unique career opportunities through learning and understanding nine business sectors and operations. It will further support to enhance their soft skills, through workshops aimed at improving networking, business etiquette and presentation skills. The benefits of the Fast Track 15 internship program are multi-fold as it offers an opportunity to differentiate themselves in a highly competitive job market, by providing exposure to a ‘real world’ work environment with adequate supervision and nurturing to be leaders of tomorrow. The program is a culmination of three phases: corporate training, leadership training and project work and an adventure based management training session that will impart insights into experiential learning for a fast paced corporate world, where they will use an assortment of raw adventure to modest tools to tap development across the spectrum.
