The inauguration of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA) Speech Craft Program for CMA members and past finalists was concluded with an Award Ceremony on 16 May.
The Speech Craft Program over 10 sessions was conducted by Colombo Toastmasters Club (CTMC) in association with CMA on the initiative of CMA President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala and CMA Council Member Ruchira Perera. This program created tremendous interest to the participants who successfully engaged in the 10 weeks program with much enthusiasm. The final meeting was a revelation of immense talent and ability in public speaking displayed by management accountants.
Prof. Watawala presented the certificates to the successful participants and expressed his congratulations to the participants for their amazing performance whilst commending Colombo Toastmasters Club for their efforts in transforming management accountants into powerful public speakers. The incumbent President of the Colombo Toast Masters Club, Sarmaa Mahalingam also spoke and appreciated the participants for their commitment and dedication for their personal development. Colombo Toastmasters Club Past President Dian Abeyewardene was the Course Director on behalf of CTMC.
