Arwa Tapia, Regional Head (South Asia and Mauritius) of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) visited Sri Lanka Foundation for a quality assurance and institutional audit. She met the SLF Chairman Professor Ranjith Bandara and other officials who are involved in the academic process of the CISI study programs.
SLF, as a centre for leadership, education, and training, offers a wide range of academic programs in dynamic fields namely social and institutional development, psychology and counselling, business and enterprise management, language and ICT, the Digital Film Academy, tourism and hospitality management and the centre for wellbeing. SLF was incorporated by an Act of Parliament in 1973 and functions autonomously under the purview of the President of Sri Lanka and is managed by a board.
In partnership with CISI, SLF is successfully conducting a new course on global financial compliance, adding one more to its wide spectrum of study programs. This course caters to professionals and individuals aspiring to be professionals in the banking and finance and the insurance and stock broking industries.
Organisations require a joint compliance methodology and a practical approach to the challenges of cross-border regulations and this program offers insights to all compliance staff. The introduction of this study program will ensure great value additions to the financial sector of Sri Lanka.
