Cinnamon Lakeside holds red carpet event to honour associates

In an evening of red carpet glitz and glamour, premier five-star urban resort Cinnamon Lakeside recently honoured 107 associates for their loyalty and commitment towards the hotel over the years, at the Long Service Awards 2016.

Held at the Kings Court, the award ceremony inspired by the Oscars, saw associates who have completed terms of five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty five, thirty years being recognised by General Manager Dermot Gale.

23 associates were recognised for completing five years of service, 29 for ten years, four for 15 years, 13 for 20 years, 18 for 25 years and ten for 30 years of service. Recipients received a certificate and a gold sovereign based on their years’ of service.

Thanking the award recipients who attended with their family members, General Manager Dermot Gale noted that it was their dedication that has brought Cinnamon Lakeside to what it is today. While the property has undergone massive improvements which have contributed to increase in business, the image of the hotel has been upheld by the associates through the high service standards they maintain, he said. The evening’s entertainment was provided by Cinnamon Lakeside’s talented associates from all departments. From dancing to singing to comedy, the associates put out their best performances as a tribute to those who have helped and guided them over the years. Those who performed were Dhananjaya Kodikara, M. Pradeepa Dilhani, Sanduni De Mel, John Brendan Fernandez, Ilandari Dewa Nishshanka, Ashan Perera, Warren Hakel , Chamara Dedduwage, Nipun Thilakarathne, Chamari Sirisena, Nipun Thilakaratne and Yohan Nithiyanandan from Front Office, Russel Francke from Kitchen, Ruvindra Angunawela from Accounts, and Sanath Perera from Laundry.
