CIC Bronze sponsor for HRM Awards 2012

Memorandum of Understanding was signed between CIC Holdings PLC (CIC) and the Association of Human Resource Professionals (HRP) on 2 April reinforcing CIC Holding’s commitment to the Association of HRP by partnering as the Bronze Sponsor for the HRM Awards 2012.

CIC’s CEO Samantha Ranatunga stated, “As the most anticipated event of the Sri Lankan HR fraternity and business community alike, we are delighted to be able to be an integral part of this event and show our commitment to the HRP and to support the work done by them in bringing modern HR practices, while upgrading and benchmarking HR best practices in Sri Lanka.”

HRP President Gayathri Chakravarthy thanked CIC for their partnership as the Bronze Sponsor and stated that this partnership would showcase CIC as an organisation that recognises and embraces the human factor in the sustenance and success of organisations and also as an entity that understands the importance in investing in people development and talent enhancement to face the challenges and rapid development taking place in the Corporate world.  The MOU was signed by Ranatunga and Chakravarthy. The signing was witnessed by Chief Financial Officer CIC, Priyanthi Ruwanpura, Divisional Director – HR and Logistics, Hector Halangoda, Senior Manager – Human Resources Management, Maduka Rathnaweera and Vice President – HRP and the Chairman of HRM Awards 2012 Asitha Jayatunga.
