Priyanthi and Padmasena Dissanayake of Scholarships for USA (Pvt) Ltd. (www.scholarshipsforusa.com), the best known US education promoters of Sri Lanka, were recently warmly welcomed by the Chatham University in Pittsburgh USA.

Chatham University, founded in 1869 as an exclusive college for women, today consists of three distinctive colleges: The Chatham College for Women (undergraduate women-only students: 900), College for Graduate Studies (men and women students: 1,300) and the College for Continuing & Professional Studies (online programs).

Chatham offers 46 undergraduate degrees, 30 masters and five doctoral programs in health sciences, business and entrepreneurship, sustainability and the environment, creative and liberal arts and more.

Located in Pittsburgh – home to nine more universities and many large corporations – international students will find multiple advantages when applying for internships.

Chatham is situated on a beautifully shaded campus of 39 acres consisting of an original Andrew Mellon estate and many more historic buildings and stately mansions from the 19th century. It is a small university with serious commitment to producing well rounded competitive global citizens through a hands-on approach where the student:faculty ratio is 10:1.

Chatham University is looking forward to working with the Dissanayakes to attract the best of Lankan academics for all its programs and is willing to offer its top scholarships to right candidates. Under SUSA guidance, it would also be looking forward to collaborate with Lankan institutes on 2+2 transfers and send its students to SL on Study Abroad.
