It has always been Lanka IOC’s endeavour to keep its network updated with the latest technology, whether it be equipments, machinery or soft skills and techniques, etc.
Keeping this tradition on, Lanka IOC has provided latest machinery across its network. The company finds it equally important to constantly upgrade soft skills of its channel partners.
In view of this Lanka IOC PLC recently organised a ‘Capability Building Workshop’ for dealer network in association with Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. University of Sri Jayewardenepura Department of Entrepreneurship Head of Department Rukmal Weerasinghe was closely involved in the designing of the course module.
About 70 dealers participated in the workshop. University of Sri Jayewardenepura is a most prestigious university of Sri Lanka in the field of management education and Lanka IOC dealers eagerly await such interactions with renowned faculty of the university. This year focus of the workshop was on increasing customer focus through enhancing entrepreneurial skills. Major topics included this year were Strategic Orientation, Attitude Changing, Customer Orientation, Self development, Profitability, Dealing with Modern Technology, etc.
This workshop was inaugurated by Lanka IOC PLC Managing Director Shyam Bohra, Department of Entrepreneurship Head of Department Rukmal Weerasinghe, University of Sri Jayewardenepura Department of Economics Senior Lecturer Dr. Janak Kumarasinghe and Lanka IOC Sr. Vice President Siddharth Agarwal were also present on the occasion.
In his keynote address Bohra stressed on the need for constant updating of knowledge though such interactions with top management institutes. He said that knowledge updating is equally important for our dealers as is for company executives since dealers are the real face of the company. Such workshop will help in further improving brand image of Lanka IOC PLC and help maintain its service leadership position in the country.
