An evening lecture on Business Process Management by CA Sri Lanka

Business Process Management (BPM) is defined as the governance of a business’s process environment to improve agility and operational performance, having understood the importance of this topic, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) has organised an evening lecture on ‘Business Process Management - All under one roof?’ which will be held on 16 November at the CA Sri Lanka Capricorn Hall, Colombo 7.



Today, Business Process Management employs methods, policies, metrics, and software tools to continuously optimise an organisation’s activities and processes, and this seminar will provide an overview of BPM as both a management discipline and as a set of enabling technologies.

Well-known International consultant Prof. Terrence Perera, who is a Professor of Systems Modelling and Simulation and Head of the Systems, Modelling and Integration Research Group at Sheffield Hallam University will be the speaker at the seminar.

Terrence has delivered his Business Process Management Seminar Series in UK, Sri Lanka, Libya, Thailand and Malaysia and is known to assist companies to make process improvements and deploy simulation based solutions.  His clients include BT (British Telecommunications), BAE SYSTEMS, Caterpillar, Bosch, Sweden Post and Fosters Bakery.

The objective of the evening lecture will be to understand the key principles and key stages in BPM projects, Learn the major methodologies and techniques for implementing BPM, Discover various technologies that support BPM and understand key features of BPM suite.
