The Association of Business Executives (ABE) UK has appointed top professional Rumindra Lynton Ranasinghe as its new Country Manager for Sri Lanka with immediate effect, to take the organisation to the new growth agenda in the country given the hub status for education that Sri Lanka is fast becoming in the South Asian region.
Ranasinghe is a fully qualified member of ABE with an Advanced Diploma and is Chartered Management Accountant (CMA) Australia certified whilst also being a Chartered Institute of Marketing Certificate holder. He is currently the Director for International Marketing Services Limited.
The ABE qualification is the only general management study program available in the country for young people who want to become management trainees in an organisation before selecting a specialisation area, be it marketing, finance or production, said Ranasinghe.
He stated that there are currently six registered centres that conduct ABE study programs and the objective is to increase this to 10 by the end of the year, which will include Negombo, Matara, and Kandy.
