Malaysia’s top diplomat, Ambassador Dr. G.K. Ananda Kumaraseri, who is of Sri Lankan origin, presented the first copy of his latest book ‘Symbols & Symbolism: Embrace Multiculturalism’ to President Maithripala Sirisena at the president’s house in Colombo.
The book was presented during a reception hosted by the President for foreign delegates attending the 7th Buddhist Summit in Colombo. Kumaraseri joined the Malaysian Foreign Service 30 years ago and served as an ambassador to several countries. Malaysia honoured him with the title ‘Dato’. Dr. Kumaraseri retired in 1995 as Director General of ASEAN. Since then he has authored several notable books on important subjects such as the cultivation of human values, personal development, holistic education, the sacredness of motherhood, holistic parenting, childcare and development and peace.
He is also a sought after Dhamma speaker in Malaysia, Thailand and several other countries.
