Genesis, the business incubator of the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), the nation’s management mentor, conducted its first ever ‘INNOBIZ 2017’ to showcase 15 final year entrepreneurship skills projects on 9 December at PIM. At the event, MBA graduands who are starting their entrepreneurial journey with PIM showcased their entrepreneurship projects to a gathering consisting of mainly aspiring entrepreneurs of the PIM and PIM’s alumni.
Speaking at the event PIM Director Prof. Ajantha S. Dharmasiri appreciated the initiative taken by the Genesis team to organise INNOBIS 2017 to launch businesses of budding entrepreneurs of PIM and for the inspiration provided. He said that such events would encourage more MBAs to become entrepreneurs who would ultimately contribute to the economic development of the country.
PIM Senior Management Consultant Dr. Travis Perera, addressing the gathering thanked the Genesis team for the brilliant work done in coordinating the event and that this event should be made an annual event that would showcase the hard work of aspiring PIM entrepreneurs.
The aim of INNOBIZ 2017 was to showcase sustained efforts stemming from the final year MBA students who are following the Entrepreneurship Skills Project option and to facilitate the launch of their businesses.
