The Institute of Certified Professional Managers are conducting the CPM Regional Management Conference 2017 in Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Association of Management Development Institutions of South Asia (AMDISA) to coincide with the AMDISA Board Meeting in Sri Lanka. They also welcome the Executive Board Members of AMDISA and delegates for the conference which will be held on 26 and 27 September.
The AMDISA consists of management institutions and business schools in the South Asian Region and the Forum will be represented by members from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives and Bhutan.
The local members of AMDISA include the Post Graduate Institute of Management (PIM) University of Sri Jayawardenapura, National Institute of Business Management (NIBM), Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA), Certified Professional Managers (CPM), University of Sri Jayawardenapura and University of Moratuwa.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Transformational Leadership: Turning IDEAS into ACTION’.
The conference will be inaugurated on 26 September at the Cinema Hall, BMICH. The Chief Guest will be Minister of Special Assignments Sarath Amunugama.
Eminent speakers from the leading management schools in South Asia including the Indian Institute of Management Ahamadabad (IIMA), Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), Lahore University of Management Science (LUMS), Post Graduate Institute of Management (PIM) Sri Lanka, National Institute of Business Management (NIBM), Maldivian National University, Also present will be the Board Directors of AMDISA from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives and Sri Lanka.
The plenary sessions will be held on 27 September and will consist of three technical sessions and one panel discussion. The technical sessions will be on the topics of ‘The Transformational Role of Management’, ‘Management Development: Challenges and Success Stories’ and ‘Management Development in a Digital Environment’ with three case study presentations from Sri Lanka, India and Pakistan.
The panel discussions will be on the theme ‘Turning Ideas into Action: Strategy and Execution’ and will have panellists from all the South Asian countries.
