The Dialog Axiata PLC quiz team clinched the coveted The Great HR Quiz 2017 Champions’ Trophy at Sri Lanka’s only corporate quiz dedicated to the subject of HR which was held on Wednesday, 15 November at the Cinnamon Grand, Colombo. Organised for the fourth consecutive year by the nation’s leader in human resource management – IPM Sri Lanka, The Great HR Quiz is an extremely popular event amongst the HR fraternity in Sri Lanka.
State Minister of Labour and Trade Union Relations Ravindra Samaraweera, and Waters Edge Chairman Chamath de Silva graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. A large number of IPM members, IPM Council Members, faculty, staff and special invitees were also present at the event.
“64 teams representing a wide cross section of blue chips and multinationals participated in this year’s Great HR Quiz. We are delighted to experience an increasing number of participating teams each year which shows that the popularity of the IPM Great HR Quiz is increasing year on year,” said IPM Sri Lanka Hon. Secretary and IPM Great HR Quiz 2017 Organising Committee Chairman Ken Vijayakumar.
IPM Sri Lanka’s innovative concept of the Great HR Quiz has been endorsed by the Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management (APFHRM) as an ideal platform for sharing HR knowledge and best practices amongst the HR fraternity. Consequent to this endorsement, the three national HR bodies of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh have also decided to stage their own Great HR Quizzes in their respective countries.
