Finance and marketing industry experts will meet to share views on ‘How to align marketing strategy with finance strategy for business success’ at a seminar organised by Acclivity Training on 1 October from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. at the CIMA Auditorium in Colombo.
A spokesperson for Acclivity Training said that while it was recognised that for a business to succeed it was essential that all functions within the organisation work together, this continued to be a challenge. This is particularly true of marketing and finance, as both disciplines often have different perspectives and are evaluated using different performance measures, resulting in a failure to cooperate, to the detriment of the organisation. The session will cover the establishment of objectives and KPIs for the finance and marketing functions that reflect the company›s overall goals, business processes that enable collaboration between departments, systems that measure the contribution integrating both financial and marketing data and the different approaches to risk.
Seylan Bank Plc Retail Banking Deputy General Manager Tilan Wijeyesekera will deliver the keynote address. Charaka Perera - Project Chair, SLIM National Initiatives/Chief Operating Officer
Laugfs Salt and Chemicals; Ravi Edirisinghe - Director/CEO, GAC Group and Sanjeewa Samaranayake - Group Chief Financial Officer, Sri Lanka Telecom Plc are the panellists whilst Manohari Abeyesekera - Chairperson, CIMA Sri Lanka Country Network Panel and Director Fentons Ltd/Hayleys Group Services Ltd. will moderate the session.
The seminar is supported by CIMA and TextWare. More than 100 participants comprising corporate leaders and executives are expected to attend this seminar. For more details, please contact Shiwantha on 0713331466 or email [email protected].
