The Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC) in collaboration with the AOTS-Japan (The Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship) is conducting a Management Training Program (MTP) on 4 and 5 March.
The two-day program from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Grand Monarch, Thalwathugoda will be conducted adhering to Government health guidelines.
“Since the lockdown last March, we have been conducting all our trainings open to the public virtually and this upcoming program will be the first full-scale training session to be conducted physically. However, we are conscious of COVID safety protocols, hence the program is restricted to a limited number of participants,” says EFC Assistant Director General (Advisory Services)/Head of Training Yashoravi Bakmiwewa.
The EFC, over the years had conducted several joint programs with the AOTS- Japan, on various themes and this year’s MTP program as Bakmiwewa further notes, is also promised to be a fruitful engagement. MTP aims at developing managers of companies who can cope with an ever-changing business environment. Since its introduction to Japan in 1945, MTP has been implemented in many leading companies in Japan for over 70 years.
The program content includes Basic Principles of Management (planning, directing, controlling and coordinating), Creative Problem Solving, Work Improvement Methods, Developing subordinates to enhance their competencies, Understanding human behaviour and attitudes, Role of Managerial Leadership and Role of the Manager in promoting employee engagement.
While the program will be facilitated virtually by Japan Industrial Training Association Consultant Yaegashi Hitoshi, in-house sessions will be co-facilitated by EFC Senior Consultant Human Resource Development Dr. K.L. Chandratilleke. The sessions are open to the EFC members and non-members.
Participants who complete the two-day program will be awarded a certificate by AOTS-Japan.
