CIPM Sri Lanka – the nation’s leader in human resource management – together with the World Federation of People Management Associations (WFPMA) and supported by the Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management (APFHRM) announced that the registration of delegates to the world’s premier people event ‘The World HR Congress2020’ to be held from 6-8 July in Colombo, Sri Lanka is now open.
An ‘Early Bird’ Offer with attractive discounts for registration expiring on 8 April has also been announced for the convenience of delegates. All arrangements have been made to facilitate the smooth registration of delegates at www.wfpma2020.com, the website dedicated to the World HR Congress2020.
In addition to the online link for registration, this website provides comprehensive information related to the World HR Congress2020 event highlighting the speakers, keynotes, panellists, technical sessions and topics that will be covered at this mega event. Furthermore, accommodation options with specially negotiated rates too are available for booking for the convenience of the foreign as well as local delegates.
“CIPM Sri Lanka is delighted to be hosting this premier people event this year which incidentally coincides with our 60th anniversary celebration. In our constant resolve to add value to the HR and business professionals, we believe that World HR Congress 2020 is in the forefront of all such endeavours being undertaken by us,” said CIPM Sri Lanka President and Chartered Member Dhammika Fernando.
This biennial Conclave has been held since 1986 in 17 different countries and the venue for the 18th congress of the world is the beautiful paradise island nation Sri Lanka.
The World HR Congress converges people professional from five continental federations consisting of 93 countries to Sri Lanka, and it will enable people professionals to build a global community of peers, to discuss new developments, and to network with colleagues from around the world who face similar complex challenges in the people profession.
“This will also be the first occasion that the World HR Congress takes place in South Asia, the most humanly rich region of the world” he added.
The World HR Congress in Sri Lanka is being staged at a very crucial juncture of mankind. While many complexities juggling with people, planet and profits, are being addressed on a daily basis, a new industrial era has already dawned.
The world is on the brink of the next big thing, the fifth industrial revolution where the human and machine will dance together as technology will help humans to vastly increase labour productivity and to align return on investment with purpose which will require intentionality and moral clarity.
“We have aptly selected an exotic theme for this premier people event. ‘Exalting People Professionals: Explore, Expand and Excel’ will deliberate on digitalisation, disruption, diversity and diligence relating to the distinct dimensions of human resource management with a galaxy of world renowned resource persons,” said event organising Technical Committee Chair and CIPM Sri Lanka Immediate Past President and Chartered Fellow Member Prof. Ajantha Dharmasiri.
The World HR Congress 2020 will be one of the most successful events with a carefully selected, fully packed agenda over the three days and includes five parallel sessions in addition to the main tent event, 20 panellists, 30 speakers, over 2,000 delegates, sumptuous meals, gala dinners and over 100 exhibitors at the HR Solutions Exhibition held at the same venue over the duration of the Conclave.
