In an effort to strengthen the public financial management practices within the country’s public sector, CA Sri Lanka’s Public Sector Wing, the Association of Public Finance Accountants of Sri Lanka (APFASL) recently conferred the Chartered Public Finance Accountancy (CPFA) qualification to 89 public sector officials on merit basis.
The CPFA Convocation – 2018 was held recently at the BMICH, Colombo under the patronage of Auditor General Gamini Wijesinghe and Finance Commission of Sri Lanka Chairman Uditha Palihakkara.
The CPFA qualification is jointly developed by APFASL and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) London, for the benefit of accountants, auditors and assessors in the Sri Lankan public sector to help them enhance their professional skills. CIPFA is the leading accountancy body for the public services providing education and training in accountancy and financial management.
