The Academy for Administrative Professionals (AAP) is in full swing to host its 14th consecutive Residential Seminar from 26-28 October at Hotel Sigiriya Village.
The training is a mix of networking, excursion, awards and entertainment. Participants as well as the employers will benefit from the workshop, which is framed for multi-skilled and versatile managers, executives, personal assistants, executive assistants, secretaries, office co-ordinators, departmental heads, supervisors, training staff, decision-makers and anyone who is keen on marching forward to increase their productivity, upgrade their skills, and fostering enthusiasm in life and career.
The subjects on secretarial, administration, management, personality development, healthy life, family balance and talent-building will be presented through classroom learning, group activities, panel discussion, role play, field visits, relationship-building, outbound, and Q&A sessions.
Dr. Sunethra Nugawela will be the Chief Guest and her keynote will be based on the theme ‘Upgrading and mastering current office trends, developing strong partnership with AP/manager by developing credibility, recognition, and visibility in corporate world with superior performance’. University of Peradeniya, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry Senior Lecturer Dr. Pabasari Ginige will enlighten on mind your brain, positive parenting, behavioural disorders, active listening, and social dancing.
Panel discussion will be moderated by Hiranthi Gunawardena, and will include panellists Diana Perera, Gwendoline Nilaweera, and Priscilla Albert.
The excursion in the village of Sigiriya is a part of the workshop to educate on community, and all participants will commute by bullock carts, land masters and ferries followed by a traditional kamatha lunch. Climbing the Lion Rock is optional.
Awards will be given to those who complete 10 residential seminars. Entertainment will comprise of a Paduru Party and a night in the jungle with lanterns. ‘Excellent to Exceptional’ will be a unique workshop, powered by People’s Bank, Commercial Bank, Stretch Line, Mediquipment, and People’s Leasing.
