99X Technology was placed among some of Sri Lanka’s most celebrated corporate entities when it was named a Gold Winner at the HRM Awards 2014, in recognition of the innovative and cutting-edge human resource practices adopted in its day-to-day operations. Although a newcomer to the HRM Awards, 99X Technology has been acknowledged by various local and international organisations time and time again, as a pioneer in creating employee-centric workplaces with an environment conducive for advancement and creativity, which is vital in the fast-paced IT industry. “It has been an amazing journey for 99X Technology thus far and it is truly heartening to be recognised for our human resource management by an esteemed organisation such as the Association of Human Resource Professionals, which is an inspiration for us to keep bettering our HR practices,” stated 99X Technology Co-Founder and CEO Mano Sekaram. “All this would of course not be possible without our workforce that enables us to keep innovating and forging ahead on every front.” A few of the accolades the company has received in recent times include becoming the first and only Sri Lankan company to be named one of Asia’s Best Workplaces in 2015 by the Great Place To Work Institute. Further, 99X Technology has been ranked among Sri Lanka’s 15 best companies to work for by the Great Place To Work Institute in Sri Lanka for two consecutive years, receiving a special award in 2014 for talent management, and was recognised for talent management at Asia’s Best Employer Brand Awards 2013. This year, at the awards ceremony held at the Cinnamon Grand, some of Sri Lanka’s most established corporate entities were listed among the HRM Awards’ ‘Super 10’, including John Keells Holdings, Diesel & Motor Engineering, Aitken Spence, Dialog Axiata and Virtusa to name a few. The HRM Awards, which commenced in 2002, aims to provide a platform for public and private sector companies in Sri Lanka to evaluate the effectiveness of their HRM practices against internationally-accepted guidelines. It is considered a prestigious accolade that honours the passion and commitment of organisations whose innovative thinking and strategies have broken new ground in human resource management. In assessing the companies, the panel of judges, comprising prominent local and international HR professionals and industrialists, pay special attention to processes that enhance productivity, promote employee growth and give organisations a competitive, long term advantage in their respective fields of business. 99X Technology is an award-winning software product engineering company that specialises in delivering high-end software product development services to independent software vendors (ISVs) worldwide, with a primary focus within the European region. Headquartered in Sri Lanka, the company also has offices in Oslo, Norway and has an outstanding track record in building and delivering over 150 high quality commercial products.
