35th Annual Conference of Administrative Services Association held under President’s patronage

President Maithripala Sirisena said that government officers should pay more attention to the development of the country, maintaining economical stability and accomplishing the duties of different fields individually with dedication rather than focusing on current political developments.

The President said this during his address at the 35th meeting of the Administrative Services Association in Sri Lanka held at the Nelum Pokuna theatre on 26 March.

President Sirisena, who pondered on the contribution of all towards bringing about prosperity for the people by uplifting the economy of the country, expressed confidence that all within the adminstrative services would fulfill their duties on behalf of this. The appointment of new members to the association also took place with Prabhath Chandrakeerthi being elected as the new President while Rohana De Silva was appointed the new Secretary.

President Sirisena, who conveyed his appreciation over the services of all the members and past presidents of the association, congratulated the office-bearers including the newly-appointed President.

Minister of Home Affairs Vajira Abeywardana, Sri Lanka Administrative Services Association Chairman Ranjith Ariyaratne, Former Secretary W.M.M.B. Weerasekara and other members were also present at the event.
