The Institute of Management of Sri Lanka (IMSL) will hold its 13th National Management Conference on 20 November 2012 at the Galle Face Hotel. The 2012 conference aims to provide insights into the key topic of ‘Today’s Leadership Responsibilities: What to Do and What to Leave Alone’.
NMC is one of the most important events of the IMSL calendar, conducted once in every two years. The conference is a management education program designed to impart knowledge on diverse management issues, draws management personalities from various disciplines.
The conference is designed to ensure that the participants, relate the main themes discussed at the conference to enhance their role and inputs to organisations they work for, identify specific interventions in capacity development in organisations and follow up with a personal agenda for change, and address critical needs of socio-economic development as responsible and leading private sector organisations, to steer the country towards a more hopeful future.
The key note speech will be made by Prof. Uditha Liyanage, Director of the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) of the University of Sri Jayawardenapura. The conference consists of two panel sessions conducted by prominent management and marketing personalities.
Manjula de Silva, Managing Director, HNB Assurance; Sunil Dissanayake, Head – Group Human Resources, Hayleys; and Roshan Egodage, Chief Executive Officer, Commercial Credit Ltd. are among the panellists.
