Emirates, a global connector of people, places and passions, is offering readers of the Daily FT and Weekend FT, as well as visitors to www.ft.lk, an opportunity to win four air tickets for one lucky family to visit Orlando, Florida, the airline’s 10th gateway to the US.
To compete for this amazing prize, readers will be provided with an opportunity to cast their votes for what factor or combination of factors they think is responsible for making Emirates a preferred airline for family travel, the world over.
‘On-board for Orlando!’ coupons to be published in the Daily FT, Weekend FT and the FT website from Monday 23rd November offer voters a choice of factors: Special kids’ menus; Unaccompanied Minors Service; Exclusive toys for children; 2000 channels of inflight entertainment; 75 dedicated channels for children; Special high quality headsets for children’ Free Wi-Fi on board 141 aircraft and counting, as well as an ‘All of the above’ option to vote for.
Unlike in national elections, one voter may cast as many votes he or she likes, provided the boxes are ticked on an original ‘On-board for Orlando!’ coupon from the Daily FT or Weekend FT or by following the instructions on www.ft.lk. The winner will be chosen at a draw of all votes cast.

Emirates commenced flights to Orlando on 1st September 2015. Emirates’ daily flight EK219 departs Dubai at 3:50 a.m. local time and arrives in Orlando at 11:00 a.m., a flying time of 16 hours and 10 minutes. The daily return flight EK220 departs Orlando International Airport Terminal B at 1:20 p.m. and arrives in Dubai International Terminal 3 at 12:20 p.m. the following day, with a flying time of 14 hours.
From Colombo, Emirates operates 27 flights a week to Dubai, with its daily flight EK 653 departing Colombo at 20:35 hours and arriving in Dubai at 02:05 hours, providing the perfect connection with the new Orlando flight.
Emirates’ Orlando flights are operated with the latest Boeing 777-200 LR aircraft, which seats 266 passengers, including eight in private First Class Suites, 42 in Business Class lie-flat beds and 216 in spacious Economy Class seats.
