UNP Special Convention on 11 July

The United National Party will hold a special party convention on Saturday (11 July) under the leadership of Prime Minister and party leader Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Issuing a media release yesterday, the UNP said that the special convention would focus on the party's election campaign and strategies for the 17 August parliamentary poll.

"A movement of people's power, led by the UNP achieved victory on 8 January. The special convention will focus on strategies and operations to turn this triumph into a major victory," the press release said. (DB)
