Trevin to step down from Hayleys Board

Top professional and independent non-executive Director Trevin Jayasekara has decided not to stand for re-election to the Hayleys Board.

He was to retire by rotation and come up for re-election at the Hayleys AGM scheduled for June. Hayleys said  yesterday Jayasekara had notified the board in writing that he would not be standing for re-election at the AGM.

Jayasekara, who is the Group Finance Director of Brandix Lanka, was invited to join the Hayleys Board in 2006. Prior to joining Brandix, he was the Group Finance Director of Aitken Spence and Company and General Manager of Deutsche Bank in Sri Lanka.



A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Associate of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK, he also serves as a Non Executive Director of NDB Bank and Lanka Ventures.
